Description
This 4x4 expedition takes us to the spaces of the great Moroccan South, whose charm and appeal reside both in the diversity of the landscapes and in the encounters with the Berber and Saharan populations. All along the route, small steps allow you to discover their daily life. This trip is most of the time in bivouac. This will allow you to make the most of the superb landscapes, to be in the heart of the desert and to taste these “magical” Saharan nights. Over a week you will discover the various facets of the desert: oases, villages, desert mountains, rivers that get lost in the great South and finally the highest dune in the country.

By the small roads of the Left bank you visit this immense valley where six sets of palm groves are distributed. The palm / date palm is the main resource. This valley has been, the "road" of caravans, it linked black Africa to the Maghreb. The populations of Harratins, Jews, Arabs and Berbers have always rubbed shoulders to support this superb region.

From M’Hamid, the last village at the end of the road, it’s off-piste that you approach the great Ergs of the South to reach the highest and most extensive erg, ‘ Chegaga’. At the exit of M’Hamid, you will meet “poop dots” and some palm trees, acacias and scattered tamarisks. Then nature becomes more and more desert: ergs made up of dune cords and real mountains of sand as far as the eye can see. You take advantage of the late afternoon lights to take a nice stroll through the dunes and admire the latest gleams of the sun at the top of these sand mountains.
